When it launched on Wednesday, September 7, approximately 75% of all units in the Sky [email protected] condominium were sold; attract buyers because of its accessible location.
It has been a decade since the last residential launch in Bedok town centre, developer Frasers Property said, adding that all two-bedroom units on the 99-year lease have been sold.
Real estate website EdgeProp said Thursday (September 8) that 118 of the condominium’s 158 residential units had been seized by buyers at an average sale price of S$2,100 (per square foot).
The remaining units are the 1,087 square foot three-bedroom premium units with a starting price of S$2 million and the 1,302 square foot four-bedroom units, which start from S$2.6 million .
Sky [email protected] is a mixed-use development in the heart of District 16. It will feature 12 commercial units on the ground floor and residential units on the upper floors.
A mix of a mall, wet market, interchange and balancing community spirit with easy access to green nodes and wellness nodes makes the development attractive.
“Furthermore, homebuyers appreciate the property’s proximity to the thriving economic hubs of Changi and Paya Lebar, which are set to undergo further rejuvenation and add more vibrancy to Singapore’s east,” said Ms Lorraine Shiow, Acting Chief Operating Officer of Singapore Residential at Frasers Property. .
According to PropNex Realty Managing Director Ismail Gafoor, most buyers served by PropNex agents were Singaporeans in their 30s and 40s.
He noted that this is the second major new launch in the outer central region in 2022, which has increased demand among those wishing to upgrade Housing and Development Board units.
The strong sales are also a sign of the resilience of the housing market, he added.
“The buyers were primarily investors who saw the potential of Sky [email protected] as it is located near the MRT station, surrounded by amenities and close to major employment hubs,” said Huttons Asia CEO, Mark Yip.
Other new condominium launches this year have also sold well, with Piccadilly Grand in Farrer Park and [email protected] in the Mountbatten area selling 77% and 75% of their units respectively in May. /TISG
